عنوان DiGress with Lion Optimizer for Molecular Graph Generation

چکیده Abstract— Graph generation is central to drug discovery and materials design, but many models struggle with scalability and permutation invariance. DiGress, a discrete denoising diffusion model, frames graph generation as a sequence of node and edge classification steps. While most work focuses on architectures, we study the effect of the optimizer. We replace AdamW with Lion, a sign-based momentum optimizer with lower memory use and potentially more exploratory updates. On QM9, Lion preserves validity (99.3% vs 99.0%) and improves uniqueness (96.6% vs 96.2%) without harming NLL.
