چکیده
Background and Objective: Stress-related disorders have increased substantially among adult populations, particularly working women. Despite the growing presence of women across various occupational sectors, research addressing their unique mental health challenges remains insufficient and necessitates dedicated attention. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of health-promoting programs on quality of life and general health status among working women. Methods: This systematic review was conducted through comprehensive searches in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases using the keywords "Health of working women," "Workplace interventions," and "Health promotion" over the publication period from 2016 to 2026. Among 45 retrieved articles, 7 studies that met the inclusion criteria and directly examined effective interventions targeting physical and mental health outcomes across diverse occupational groups were selected for final analysis. Results: Findings indicate that women experience more severe psychosocial risks, including work-family conflict, harassment, and job insecurity, contributing to depression and anxiety. Educational support sessions and group-based physical exercise programs were identified as the most effective and cost-efficient interventions. Combined intervention programs, particularly those delivered in group formats, demonstrated significant reductions in job burnout. Furthermore, the integration of supportive and exercise-based interventions, along with salary adjustments, were emphasized for their role in alleviating depressive symptoms. Conclusion: Implementation of workplace health promotion programs can effectively improve mental health and quality of life among working women. Additionally, providing a conceptual framework illustrating how occupational hazards function as job demands and preventive measures serve as job resources can assist policymakers in establishing supportive work environments.
