Predicting Customer Churn in Investment Firms Using a Hybrid Graph Neural Network and LSTM Model

چکیده :
Customer churn is a significant source of revenue loss in investment services, necessitating accurate early-warning predictions. This paper presents a hybrid model that combines a customer similarity graph with GraphSAGE and an LSTM classifier. A k-nearest-neighbor graph, constructed from standardized customer attributes, enables neighborhood aggregation. To capture information across aggregation depths, layer-wise graph embeddings are processed as a short sequence by an LSTM. On a public financial churn benchmark (N=10,000), the hybrid model achieves a test ROC-AUC of 0.8610 and an F1-score of 0.5879, outperforming logistic regression and a GNN-only baseline.
