چکیده :

The advancement of artificial intelligence has brought about a fundamental shift in educational assessment. This technology is moving traditional standardized tests toward a dynamic and personalized model that focuses on student growth. This review article examines. current research and practice to explore how technological innovations, particularly AI, are fundamentally reshaping the test. The review examines the usage of specific AI tools within educational measurement, including key applications, such as adaptive tests (which match questions in real-time to the learner's level), Automatic Item Generation (AIG), which addresses the growing demand for diverse, high-quality test items, large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI (GenAI) in automating and enhancing various stages of the assessment cycle from design to feedback. Despite significant benefits such as increased efficiency and personalization, there are also major challenges. Assessing the quality, fairness, and real educational value of content produced by artificial intelligence requires strong monitoring systems based on human expertise. The ultimate goal is not to replace teachers; rather, it is to empower them with these tools to achieve more meaningful assessment and deeper insight into each student's learning. Achieving this future requires the cooperation of all stakeholders, a focus on educational goals, and compliance with ethical principles.
