Economic Dispatch of Microgrid with Renewable DGs

چکیده :
The optimal distribution of power of each generation source in the power grid to create a balance between production and consumption is one of the economic dispatch (ED) goals. The increasing use of renewable energy resources (RERs) in microgrids (MGs), like wind turbines (WTs), underscores the need for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) in ED calculations. Therefore, new coefficients are added to the previous ED coefficients to model the underestimation and overestimation of the accessible wind power in ED computations. The optimization problem concerning the Weibull probability density function (PDF) for the experimental network consisting of two WTs and two thermal generators is solved by characterizing random wind speeds. Based on different input parameters, the results of the optimal solutions indicate that in all scenarios, not shutting down the thermal generators is more economically optimal. Moreover, the generation rate of the resources is affected by factors such as underestimation of wind power costs and overestimation of it, which respectively correspond to the case where the specified wind power is less than the available wind power in each time interval and vice versa.
