AI-Driven Optimization of Energy Efficiency in HVAC Systems through Waste Heat Recovery and Thermal Energy Storage

چکیده :
This study presents a comprehensive review of waste heat recovery (WHR) systems integrated with thermal energy storage (TES), highlighting their potential to improve energy efficiency and sustainability across various industrial applications. By capturing and reutilizing waste heat from industrial processes, marine engines, and HVAC systems, these technologies reduce energy consumption and operational costs. Experimental findings indicate that latent heat storage using phase change materials (PCM) outperforms sensible heat storage in HVAC applications, allowing for extended thermal energy utilization. Moreover, dual-mode systems capable of harnessing low-grade industrial waste heat provide a flexible and efficient solution for WHR. In addition to assessing the performance of various TES technologies, this study examines the economic and environmental advantages of WHR-TES integration and introduces advanced strategies, including hybrid systems and AI-driven optimization, to further enhance their efficiency and adaptability.
