چکیده :

Abstract Background: Artificial intelligence (AI), with its ability to learn from complex data, has significant potential to transform the uniform approach to rehabilitation towards precision and personalized medicine. Methods: This review examines the current landscape of AI applications in rehabilitation, identifies key barriers, and provides a practical framework for the development and implementation of these tools. The article reviews the application of machine learning, health data, and wearable technologies in rehabilitation. Findings: AI is used in the areas of screening, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and continuous monitoring using diverse data sources such as electronic health records (EHR), imaging, wearable sensors, and computer vision systems. Despite promising opportunities, barriers such as lack of data integrity, lack of transparency of black-box models, and lack of actionability of model outputs have challenged the clinical translation of these technologies. Conclusion: Attention to the generation of high-quality big data, interpretable models, and real-world validation is essential to realize the promise of AI in rehabilitation.
