چکیده :
Background and Aims: Simulation-based education (SBE) has become a cornerstone of pediatric nursing training within health transformation initiatives. However, the extent to which students' digital health literacy and technological readiness influence their clinical judgment and self-efficacy in pediatric emergency simulations remains underexplored. This study aimed to determine the correlation between digital health literacy, technological readiness, clinical judgment, and simulation self-efficacy among undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A descriptive-correlational cross-sectional design was employed. A convenience sample of 320 senior undergraduate nursing students from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch, Iran, participated in the study. Data were collected using validated Persian versions of the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS), Technological Readiness Index (TRI), Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric (LCJR), and Simulation Self-Efficacy Scale (SSES). Data analysis included Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26. Findings: A total of 305 questionnaires were fully analyzed. Digital health literacy showed a significant moderate positive correlation with clinical judgment (r = 0.46, p < 0.001) and a strong positive correlation with simulation self-efficacy (r = 0.52, p < 0.001). Technological readiness was also positively correlated with both outcomes. In the multiple regression model, digital health literacy and technological readiness collectively explained 38% of the variance in clinical judgment and 44% of the variance in simulation self-efficacy. Demographic variables such as age and GPA were not significant predictors. Conclusion: Digital health literacy and technological readiness are significant predictors of clinical judgment and simulation self-efficacy in pediatric nursing students. Health transformation strategies in nursing education must move beyond providing technological infrastructure and actively integrate digital literacy training to maximize the educational yield of high-fidelity and virtual simulations.
