چکیده :
The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the modern era has triggered profound transformations across all aspects of human life—individual and collective, domestic and international. This technological shift has prompted urgent reconsideration of legal norms, particularly in the domain of international law. Now heralded as the era of AI governance, the growing integration of AI into military affairs is reshaping the very foundations of warfare. The use of AI-driven weapons and combat strategies presents novel challenges to traditional legal and ethical frameworks. This article analyzes the applications of AI in armed conflict and assesses the legal implications for states under international law. The findings suggest that although AI offers unprecedented operational opportunities, it also raises serious concerns about compliance with the core principles of international humanitarian law. As such, the development of binding legal standards to ensure responsible state behavior in the deployment of AI is both necessary and urgent.
