چکیده :
Background: Endometrial angiogenesis is essential for endometrial receptivity, embryo implantation, and successful pregnancy, requiring coordinated regulation of angiogenic factors and molecular pathways (1, 2). Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) may influence endometrial angiogenesis and contribute to the establishment of a favorable endometrial environment for implantation (3, 4). This article reviews the molecular mechanisms through which EGCG regulates endometrial angiogenesis and its potential implications for reproductive outcomes. Methods: A narrative review searched PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and Google Scholar for studies published through June 2026, without language restrictions. Eligible studies addressed EGCG, endometrial angiogenesis, implantation, VEGF, or microRNAs; irrelevant, duplicate, and non-research records were excluded. Findings: Evidence indicated that EGCG may regulate endometrial angiogenesis through the modulation of angiogenic signaling networks involved in vascular remodeling and receptivity. EGCG influences the expression of VEGF and angiogenesis-related microRNAs, such as miR-16-5p (3, 4). VEGF signaling and microRNA-mediated regulation are important determinants of endometrial vascular adaptation (5). Collectively, these findings suggested that EGCG may regulate angiogenesis through interactions with various molecular regulators, such as growth factors and microRNAs. Conclusion: EGCG may represent a promising molecular approach for regulating endometrial angiogenesis and improving endometrial receptivity. However, further studies are required to confirm its therapeutic effects and clinical applications in the field of reproduction.
